Position Overview

  • As an Inventory Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock levels, and coordinating inventory activities.
  • Your role involves overseeing inventory transactions, identifying discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory control processes.

Duties
Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing stock, and monitor inventory movements.

Stock Control:

  •  Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet operational needs while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.

Inventory Tracking: 

  • Utilize inventory management software and systems to track inventory movements, reconcile discrepancies, and generate reports.

Order Processing:

  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics departments to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.

Auditing and Reconciliation:

  • Conduct regular audits of inventory records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Quality Control:

  • Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Analyze inventory trends and demand patterns to forecast future inventory needs and develop procurement plans.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and finance, to communicate inventory status and resolve issues.
